It's more than just a motto at Restorative Arts Dental Laboratory, CDL - it's the way we have approach every smile restoration since we opened our doors in 1975 in historic Charleston, S.C.

We have a straightforward mission: Restorative Arts is dedicated to the partnership in dentistry with its clients who we service. Our high standards of reliable service through quality, advanced technology and state-of-the-art products and materials are a testimony to our commitment to excellence. It's a mission we take seriously.

At our full-service laboratory, we are dedicated to providing quality and personalized service. We specialize in esthetic dentistry and implant restorations in addition to offering other types of high-quality restorations to meet your patients' needs. Whether it's our cosmetic restorations, precision fixed restorations or those high-demanding removable appliances, we only utilize the most advanced technology and state-of-the-art products and materials.

As one of only 500 Certified Dental Laboratories in the country, we meet and exceed industry standards. To show that we follow the best practices recommendations and quality standards, Restorative Arts is going through DAMAS certification. We are committed to the betterment of the dental industry through our membership in many dental organizations including the National Association of Dental Laboratories, National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American College of Prosthodontists, the Academy of Osseointegration, Southeastern Conference of Dental Laboratories, Eastern Conference of Dental Laboratories and the South Carolina Dental Laboratory Association.

Our highly-trained staff of 20, five of whom are Certified Dental Technicians, enable us to keep a high standard of quality and maintain our commitment to excellence for you and your patients. Meet Restorative Arts President Henry Martin, CDT, and office manager Rachel Clark along with our Certified Dental Technicians.

Henry Martin, CDT, president

Henry grew up in a small community near Marion, S.C. He went on to the University of South Carolina-Coastal Carolina and from there he attended the dental laboratory technology program at Trident Technical College/Medical University of South Carolina where he earned his associates degree in 1980. He is a Certified Dental Technician.

His 30 years of technical experience includes all aspects of dental technology, with an emphasis on dental implants. With more than 25 years of experience in dental implant restorations, Henry has advanced training and extensive experience in most systems allowing implants to become a specialty of Restorative Arts.

He is committed to continuing education obtaining as much as 80 hours a year, studied occlusion and function at the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Studies and continues to serve dentistry by lecturing on various implant related subjects.

Henry is the chairman of the National Board of Certification in Dental Technology, a board member for the National Association of Dental Laboratories, on the editorial board for the Journal of Dental Technology and the board of the Foundation for Dental Technology. He is a past president of the Southeastern Conference of Dental Laboratories, co-chairman of the Eastern Conference of Dental Laboratories and a past President of the South Carolina Dental Laboratory Association. He is a member of American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American College of Prosthodontics and the Academy of Osseointegration.

Rachel Clark, office manger

Rachel has been with Restorative Arts for 12 years. She is in charge of office administration and case scheduling. In addition she is our implant coordinator.
