New Requirements For Dental Technicians

The state mandates that in-state and out-of-state dental laboratories doing business with South Carolina dentists must register with the state and employ at least one technician who is a Certified Dental Technician or has passed the state's certification exam. In addition, laboratories must disclose where a restoration was manufactured and what materials were used in the restoration. You can read the legislation here.
